Case Study: Shelby Water Resources improves water treatment efficiency with Victaulic grooved piping solutions

A Victaulic Case Study

Shelby Water Resources upgrades a $17M water treatment plant with Victaulic

The Shelby Water Resources water treatment plant required upgrades to improve capacity and efficiency. Victaulic partnered on the project to provide a value-engineered solution using their grooved couplings, fittings, and Series W719 butterfly valves for the 30-inch ductile iron piping systems.

Victaulic's solution delivered design flexibility and space savings, particularly in the confined clear well valve vault, by eliminating the need for traditional dismantling joints, bulky harnesses, and pipe anchors. This resulted in a compressed construction schedule, reduced excavation, and a smaller system footprint, contributing to a more sustainable and efficient upgrade for the plant serving over 20,000 connections.
