A Victaulic Case Study

Hydro-Temp Mechanical completes Keller Auditorium piping retrofit in 4 months with Victaulic

Hydro-Temp Mechanical (HTM) was tasked with replacing the chilled and condenser water piping systems within Portland's historic Keller Auditorium, a project challenged by a tight four-month schedule, extreme spatial constraints, and the need to avoid disrupting ongoing theater operations. To tackle this complex installation, HTM partnered with vendor Victaulic to utilize their grooved mechanical pipe-joining solutions and Virtual Design & Construction services.

Victaulic's solution involved creating a precise 3D model of the space to plan the installation and using their grooved piping systems for a fast, efficient, and weld-free joinery process. This approach allowed the new cooling system to be assembled without disturbing rehearsals and performances, ultimately enabling HTM to complete the job ahead of schedule. The collaboration with Victaulic was crucial to the project's successful and accelerated outcome.
