Case Study: Capital Regional District achieves reliable, corrosion-resistant pump station upgrades with Victaulic

A Victaulic Case Study

Capital Regional District upgrades its 42-inch pump station with Victaulic for seismic resilience

The Capital Regional District faced a challenge when upgrading its Clover Point Pump Station, which is located in a highly active seismic zone on the Pacific Ocean. They needed a reliable, environmentally friendly solution to connect 42-inch stainless steel and HDPE pipe systems that could accommodate movement and prevent corrosion. Victaulic provided the answer with its Style W257 Dynamic Movement Joints.

Victaulic's solution utilized movement joints coated in an abrasion-resistant epoxy to prevent corrosion and accommodate seismic movement, preventing the pipes from shearing. Style W77 AGS Flexible Couplings were also used to minimize installation time and simplify future maintenance. This reliable Victaulic system provided the Capital Regional District with the confidence that the critical public facility would perform ongoing wastewater pumping safely and effectively.
