Shelbyville Central Schools upgraded its video surveillance across three elementary schools and a middle school and needed expert help to deploy an IP-based system. The district worked with Red Hawk Fire & Security of Indianapolis and chose Vicon’s ViconNet IP solution and Vicon Professional Services to handle the new IP camera configuration and system programming.

Vicon’s Professional Services preconfigured roughly 125 network cameras, assigned recording settings and NVR allocations (recording to 3 NVRs), labeled and boxed components by school (4 schools), and licensed the system prior to shipment so installation was essentially plug-and-play. The result was faster, simpler deployment with minimal on-site hassles, immediate local and centralized monitoring for administrators, secure remote viewing via the ViconNet web viewer, and a Professional Services workbook documenting all configurations for ongoing support.
