Latin America’s Largest Paper Producer, Bio-PAPPEL, Chooses Vicon Solutions for Enterprise Security

Bio-PAPPEL, Latin America’s largest paper producer, needed a scalable, easy-to-use surveillance solution to monitor manufacturing plants, recovery and recycling operations, distribution centers and corporate offices across Mexico. To meet challenges like remote management, diverse operator needs, and minimizing product loss, Bio-PAPPEL chose Vicon and its Valerus VMS (along with Vicon hemispheric cameras and some legacy ViconNet systems).

Vicon deployed a phased Valerus rollout with close to 1,000 cameras, servers and NVRs across more than 20 sites, giving corporate HQ web-based, centralized control, customizable user interfaces and a Health Dashboard for proactive issue detection. The Vicon solution enabled remote management of all locations, materially reduced product loss and theft, improved production and warehouse monitoring, and set the stage for further integration with Vicon’s VAX access control to strengthen enterprise security.
