Elkjøp, the leading consumer electronics retailer in the Nordics, was struggling with high-volume, manual accounts payable processing across its omnichannel business. With about 1.6 million invoices a year, its SAP-based AP workflow relied on OCR, templates, and time-consuming manual work that made processing slow, error-prone, and resource intensive. Vic.ai was brought in to help modernize and automate the process.

Vic.ai’s AI-powered AP platform integrated with Elkjøp’s SAP environment to automate invoice processing, improve PO matching, streamline approvals, and reduce manual data entry and GL coding. In the PoC, Vic.ai cut average invoice processing time to 48 seconds, achieved 96% total accuracy and 100% cost account accuracy, and left 20% of invoices untouched by users. Based on Elkjøp’s metrics, Vic.ai is expected to save 35,000–40,000 hours per year, helping the company shift AP resources to higher-value finance work.
