A Vibe Case Study
Dr. Austin Alexander, PT, DPT, an anatomy professor at Hardin‑Simmons University, needed to replicate hands‑on cadaver lab experience for undergraduate and graduate students when COVID restrictions and Texas rules limited cadaver access. He chose the Vibe board from Vibe to bridge recorded dissections and web‑based virtual cadaver software into a more interactive, hands‑on learning environment.
Using the Vibe board’s split‑screen, annotation, and open‑ecosystem features, Alexander plays recorded dissections alongside supplemental materials and virtual cadaver apps so students can zoom, rotate, and annotate specimens in real time. Vibe proved cost‑effective—enabling a proposal to outfit the lab with ten Vibe boards for less than the price of a single ~$65,000 alternative—and has increased engagement in undergraduate, graduate, and clinician courses, earned strong faculty and student feedback, and paved the way for a dedicated virtual anatomy lab.
