Diablo Valley College - Customer Case Study

Diablo Valley College, a two‑campus community college serving about 28,000 students, needed to rapidly shift most courses online for fall 2020 while ensuring accessibility and flexibility for a highly diverse student body. Professor Arek Puzia selected the Vibe board—a collaborative interactive digital whiteboard and smart software—to help him record, annotate, and deliver more professional asynchronous accounting lectures with captioning and mobile-friendly access.

Vibe supplied the interactive board and software that Puzia paired with a camera and editing tools (funded through the Strong Workforce Program) to create pre‑recorded, Canvas‑linked lessons and annotated problem sets. The Vibe solution proved intuitive to use, increased accessibility for students who rely on phones or asynchronous study, and scales to Puzia’s classes of up to 200 students per semester—delivering measurable value and a low per‑student cost while improving engagement and workforce‑ready tech skills.
