Taiwan Operator Company worked with VIAVI Solutions to investigate a high RTWP issue in a residential area of Taipei caused by intermittent in-band interference. The challenge was compounded by illegal signal boosters, urban signal reflections, and the difficulty of tracing a source that appeared only intermittently.

VIAVI Solutions used InterferenceAdvisor, along with EagleEye, CellAdvisor, and AntennaAdvisor, to locate the suspected interference area and then pinpoint the source inside an elevator in a luxury apartment building. After the signal booster was removed, the RF interference was eliminated and the operator’s in-band interference problem was resolved.
