Renown Health, Northern Nevada’s healthcare leader and Reno’s only not-for-profit health system, needed better visibility into its network and applications. Before working with VIAVI Solutions, the IT team struggled to isolate root cause and determine whether issues were coming from the network or from applications.

VIAVI Solutions provided Renown Health with Observer, including Observer Analyzer and Observer GigaStor, for troubleshooting, proactive monitoring, and supporting new deployments. The solution reduced mean time to resolution by 50–79%, improved analysis time by 10x, and cut a 20-minute Wireshark task down to about two minutes, while also improving visibility, reducing finger-pointing, and helping capture packet data for security.
