JDSU, a regional service provider, partnered with VIAVI Solutions to deploy a cost-effective service assurance solution for its new IPTV and VoD services. The challenge was to proactively monitor and troubleshoot the entire delivery network to ensure exceptional quality of experience for its triple-play customers while driving down operational costs.

VIAVI Solutions implemented its end-to-end IPTV service assurance solution, which included NetComplete Home PM, MVP-200 and Observer RPM 400 probes, and the Skyline Dataminer OSS layer. This solution provided the service provider with comprehensive visibility from the headend to the customer premises. The results included significantly increased customer satisfaction, reduced operating costs through fewer trouble tickets and dispatches, and the ability to measure the real customer experience.
