Latin American Mobile Operator Company, a Tier 1 Latin American mobile operator, faced a severe network crisis after a Category 5 hurricane reduced cell service to just 8–9% of network coverage. The result was rapid service restoration, with service returned in 28 of 78 municipalities and coverage reaching about 310,000 customers within two weeks of landfall.
