Tallinn identifies 50 cycling network gaps and 2,000 tons of CO2 savings with Vianova

The city of Tallinn partnered with the analytics platform Vianova to address the challenge of urban car dependence and its associated CO2 emissions. The city aimed to create a more sustainable transportation system by identifying areas for improvement within its mobility network.

Using Vianova's predictive analytics, the city was able to identify specific gaps in its cycling infrastructure and pinpoint the top 100 routes with the highest emissions. This data-driven solution allowed Tallinn to strategically promote micro-mobility alternatives. As a result, Vianova calculated a significant CO2 saving potential of 2,000 tons, paving the way for greener streets.
