The Parisian public transport agency RATP faced significant network congestion and delays, as their dedicated bus lanes were frequently obstructed by other vehicles. To address this challenge, RATP partnered with the mobility data platform Vianova to analyze IoT sensor data.

Vianova's solution processed over 240,000 unique bus route observations from camera data to identify specific obstructions causing delays. This analysis allowed Vianova to pinpoint the top 10 congestion hotspots for RATP. As a result, RATP gained the actionable insights needed to implement targeted measures and optimize its infrastructure to improve bus lane efficiency.
