Royal Holloway, University of London’s Virtual Open Day Perfects Lead Generation

Royal Holloway, University of London wanted to broaden global awareness of its academic programmes and improve lead generation from prospective students without the cost and logistics of an in-person open day. To achieve this, RHUL ran a Virtual Open Day on 22 March 2018 using the vFairs virtual events platform to deliver an immersive, accessible online experience for international audiences.

vFairs built a custom event with Academic Zones (individual booths for programmes), real-time chat with faculty and students, Support Services booths, downloadable brochures, video tours and a 360° Virtual Campus Experience, plus WCAG-aligned accessibility features. The vFairs reporting dashboard tracked activity in real time; over the two-hour event 111 users participated and key booths (accommodation and admissions) saw nearly 100 visits each, delivering measurable leads, reduced costs and improved enrollment ROI for Royal Holloway, University of London.
