How DIAC’s Hybrid Career Fair Championed Innovative Recruitment

Dubai International Academic City (DIAC), part of TECOM Dubai Group and the world’s largest free zone for higher education, needed to connect 80+ employers and universities with thousands of graduate and postgraduate students while overcoming travel, logistics, manual recruitment workflows, limited talent pools, and lack of event analytics. To solve this, DIAC engaged vFairs to deliver a virtual extension of its onsite Career Fair and provide a scalable digital recruitment platform.

vFairs built a custom hybrid Career Fair—3D virtual booths with on-demand multimedia, scheduled audio/video/text chat, integration with Talentera for applicant tracking and ScanShake for QR-based resume capture—extending the event online for three extra days. vFairs’ solution attracted 60+ employers and 25+ universities, produced 900+ registrations, 6,300+ booth visits (5,300+ unique) and 4,000+ job applications, improving global reach, recruiter efficiency, candidate experience and providing real-time analytics.
