A vFairs Case Study
The Canadian National Institute of the Blind (CNIB) faced the challenge of making its annual Connecting the Dots conference accessible to the blind and partially sighted community across Canada during the pandemic. They needed a virtual event platform that could integrate essential accessibility features like screen readers, reverse contrast, and voice enablement. After an unsuccessful search, they partnered with vFairs, which offered a virtual event platform and a commitment to meet these specific needs.
vFairs collaborated with CNIB to build a fully accessible virtual conference, incorporating features such as a navigable exhibition hall, accessible webinar sessions, and integrated voice descriptions. The solution was a resounding success, resulting in 800 registrants and 280 concurrent participants. The event received positive feedback for its accessibility, breaking down barriers and paving the way for future accessible hybrid events. vFairs' problem-solving approach and dedication were key to the partnership's success.
