A VFA Case Study
The State of New Jersey Dept. of Education needed a way to review and approve long-range facilities plans for 615 school districts, while supporting a massive $8.6 billion school construction and renovation program. To handle inventory, capacity forecasting, and state compliance requirements, the agency turned to VFA and its capital planning and facilities management software.
VFA implemented a centralized Web-based planning system with workflow, document management, what-if analysis, enrollment and capacity planning, and project tracking. The solution helped more than 1,000 district employees develop and submit five-year plans, accelerated DOE review and approval, and gave districts clearer visibility into project status and future planning needs.
