Global On-Line Trading Company, a leading global online trading firm, was struggling to meet SLAs during peak trading and query activity. Its Oracle trading and historical data was stored on multiple SSD-based all-flash arrays, but the existing infrastructure could not keep up with demand. Vexata and its VX-100 Scalable NVMe Flash Array were evaluated to address these performance bottlenecks.

Vexata replaced the customer’s multiple AFAs with a single VX-100F Scalable NVMe Flash Array, simplifying deployment and capacity planning while supporting extreme peak workloads. The solution delivered 2.75M 8K read/write IOPS, 36.9 GB/s throughput, and more than a 30x improvement in trading performance, while reducing the array footprint six-to-one and cutting costs to less than half of the replaced AFA. The system was also future-proofed for 16 months of workload growth.
