Texturing Technology Limited, a Port Talbot–based steel roll surface engineering company part-owned by Tata Steel UK, was losing employee suggestions because its informal idea process gave no feedback or transparency. General Manager Paul Burke needed a structured way to capture, track and encourage ideas from the shop floor, so TTL adopted Vetter’s Online Suggestion System to make submissions visible, commentable and trackable.

Vetter implemented a web/mobile suggestion platform where employees submit ideas, comment and rate anonymously on a 1–5 scale (ideas averaging 3+ advance to a monthly committee), with decisions published online and built-in analysis that replaced TTL’s spreadsheets. The result: renewed engagement (about 80% of the factory workforce has submitted an idea), faster decision visibility (no more meeting minutes), improved idea quality through comments and ratings, and responsive vendor support from Vetter.
