A Vetter Case Study
British Airways faced a difficult 2011–12 environment: rising competition, tight finances and ambitious emissions and fuel-efficiency targets (25% improvement by 2025 vs 2005). To tap staff creativity it launched an internal Staff Suggestion Scheme. Vetter offers a smarter Staff Suggestion Scheme tool to help organisations evaluate, generate and prioritise employee ideas.
While British Airways built its own system, Vetter’s suggestion‑scheme solution is designed to replicate that approach and drive measurable savings. BA’s scheme produced over £20 million in savings by January 2012 (equivalent to the fuel for 550 London–New York flights), with one idea alone saving £600,000 a year and more than 200 quality suggestions (lighter trolleys, plastic bottles, more frequent engine cleaning, lighter cutlery, etc.); Vetter can help other companies achieve similar impact.
