Very partnered with Loxx Boxx, a startup aiming to stop porch pirates from stealing packages, to design and engineer a secure IoT home delivery solution. The challenge was to build a web-connected steel lockbox that users could control via a mobile app, with full IP ownership of the final product being a major concern for the customer.
The solution from Very included designing the hardware, writing the firmware, and assisting in the manufacture of over 1,000 units. Very also built a cross-platform mobile app and a backend admin application. As a result, Loxx Boxx launched a market-leading product, owns the complete IP and supply chain, and gained a distinct advantage over its competitors. Very continues to provide post-launch support.
