Very partnered with DuraServ, a market leader in loading dock equipment operating under the venture name Fortifyit, to overcome a significant technical challenge. The client was integrating sensitive accelerometers into IoT devices using ultrasonic welding, but the welding process's high-frequency vibrations were causing the sensors to malfunction, leading to erroneous readings and calibration failures.

The solution implemented by Very involved meticulous adjustments to the ultrasonic welding parameters and the development of custom modular sensor nodes. These nodes transmit data via LoRaWAN to a gateway and then to Azure IoT Hub, with machine learning algorithms running on the sensors to detect anomalies and maximize battery life.
