Case Study: a regional bank clears four sites and reconciles 2,341 assets with Very

A Very Case Study

Regional Bank (Northeast Branch Network) clears 4 sites and recovers $1.19M with Very

The customer, a regional bank, faced the challenge of consolidating its IT assets after an acquisition. It needed to decommission two owned data centers and two rented colocation cages, which contained over 2,300 assets with mismatched source records, while part of the environment remained live. The bank engaged ITAMG to clear the sites, destroy over 9,400 data-bearing drives, and provide a fully reconciled audit trail for closeout.

ITAMG executed a meticulous process that included building a master inventory from physical site walks, shredding all drives on-site with a bank officer witness, and clearing all 164 racks. The solution delivered a complete, reconciled record for internal audit and generated a net financial benefit. ITAMG credited the bank with $1,187,590 in client recovery against a project cost of $217,939, resulting in $969,651 in net cash, while also avoiding $36,800 in holdover rent.
