MoonPay, a fiat-to-crypto on-ramp integrated with 30+ partners and operating in 40+ countries, needed to handle highly sensitive identity documents and credit card data while offering customizable onboarding. To address this, MoonPay partnered with Very Good Security and adopted VGS infrastructure and VGS Collect.js from day one to alias and tokenise sensitive data so it never rests on their servers.

Very Good Security’s solution enabled MoonPay to deliver flexible, partner-customizable onboarding while safely sharing tokenized data with trusted providers for identity verification, payments and fraud prevention. By keeping zero data in-house, Very Good Security helped MoonPay significantly reduce its PCI compliance scope and cut the time and cost of becoming compliant, accelerating product development and market rollout and paving the way for future native integrations via VGS mobile SDKs.
