Unit helps tech companies build embedded financial features — cards, accounts, payments, and lending — and faced a tight deadline to complete Visa DPS implementation and become PCI compliant within four months to launch new physical and virtual cards. To meet that challenge they partnered with Very Good Security (VGS), using the VGS Data Security Platform and services to finalize Visa DPS and scope a PCI-compliant card data environment.

Very Good Security implemented a PCI DSS Level 1 compliant environment and tools (including JS Show and HMS) that allowed Unit to issue physical and virtual cards without Unit or its customers ever touching raw PAN data. The result: PCI compliance in under two months and Visa DPS certification within four months — a deployment Visa says was 50% faster than standard — while avoiding an estimated 2–3 FTEs, 6–12 months of in‑house work and roughly $250K–$300K+/year in ongoing costs.
