A Very Good Security Case Study

TransferGo Gets PCI Compliant 10x More Easily than DIY

TransferGo, a global FinTech remittance provider trusted by over 2.5 million customers, needed to enable push card payments for a new API-based mass-payments product while avoiding PSP lock-in and the risks of handling raw PAN data. To avoid building an in-house PCI environment, TransferGo engaged Very Good Security (VGS), using VGS Vault and related services to keep card data out of their systems while retaining the ability to work with full card details.

Very Good Security implemented a vaulting/tokenization solution and guided TransferGo through PCI DSS Level 1 certification, allowing them to process raw card data without storing it in-house. The result: PCI Level 1 within weeks, a 10x reduction in effort (35 days vs. an estimated 350 days in-house), projected 90% annual manpower savings for ongoing PCI maintenance, over 300 engineering days saved, and an 11‑month faster time to market — while removing PSP lock-in and liability.
