Major Entertainment Company worked with Verve Group to build awareness for one of its biggest action/adventure movie releases and drive ticket sales as the release date approached. The challenge was to reach the right moviegoers with a campaign that could generate interest before launch and convert that interest into action after release.

Verve Group created three custom audience segments using proprietary location data plus demographic, behavioral, and purchase-based targeting, then ran an interstitial video campaign with tailored calls to action that changed from “Watch Trailer” to “Buy Tickets” after release. The campaign delivered strong results, including a greater than 1.25% engagement rate and average time spent in-ad 50% higher than benchmark, while video completion rate also exceeded benchmark and the most targeted opening-weekend moviegoers showed the highest engagement.
