CASUAL DINING RESTAURANT, a top American casual-dining restaurant chain, sought to increase foot traffic to its locations nationwide and partnered with VERVE. VERVE used location-based targeting and geo-fencing, re-targeting, and mobile ad formats (standard/in-line banners and interstitials) to promote menu staples and time-sensitive offers to likely diners.

VERVE segmented audiences into beer-and-burger fans, frequent QSR/CDR diners, and competitor-focused retargeting, serving targeted creative and promotions. The campaign delivered nearly 30% store-visit lift, over 28,000 store visits at about $8.50 cost per visit, and ~0.50% CTR; targeting frequent QSR/CDR diners and competitors’ patrons produced the highest visitation lift and lowest incremental cost, with strong results among young Millennials and higher-income consumers.
