Welcome Italia, a provider of fixed and mobile telecommunications and the Vianova service suite for corporate clients, needed a future‑proof second data centre in Montacchiello (Pisa) to guarantee continuous operation and maximum reliability. The company commissioned Vertiv to supply cooling and electrical power protection and rack infrastructure, including Liebert® HPC and Liebert PCW chillers, Liebert® Trinergy™ Cube and Liebert EXL S1 UPS, Vertiv Knürr® DCM racks and Vertiv LIFE™ Services for remote monitoring.

Vertiv delivered a turnkey solution of power, cooling and rack equipment—almost 200 Knürr DCM racks, about 500 Vertiv MPH2™ rack PDUs, 12 Knürr PTR power racks, six Vertiv SmartAisle™ systems and full UPS and chillers—commissioning an 800+ m², fully redundant Pisa data centre tied into a 100 Gbps fibre loop. The Vertiv implementation provided immediate service continuity, improved energy efficiency and lower energy consumption, plus ongoing anomaly detection and remote diagnostics via Vertiv LIFE Services.
