Twin Rivers Unified School District faced the costly, time-consuming task of relocating and modernizing its mission-critical data center while minimizing downtime and operational expenses. Vertiv addressed the challenge by proposing its SmartAisle™ solution to replace the district’s aging 35‑rack installation with a smaller, more efficient infrastructure.

Vertiv implemented a 14‑rack SmartAisle™ with cold‑aisle containment, four Liebert® CRV in‑row cooling units and a dual overhead modular busway, creating a repeatable design for multiple sites. The Vertiv solution cut the rack count from 35 to 14, reduced CAPEX and OPEX by minimizing installation time and eliminating room upgrades, lowered PUE by an average 15–25%, and minimized downtime and productivity loss.
