Terminix - Customer Case Study

Terminix, the largest pest management company in the world, needed to condense its Fayetteville, NC data center from four racks to two and replace four space-consuming rack UPS units and an aging room cooler with a more flexible power solution and row-based cooling. Terminix engaged Vertiv and selected Vertiv’s Liebert NX UPS with extended battery cabinet and Liebert CRV rack-based precision cooling to address these needs.

Vertiv implemented a single Liebert NX to replace four UPS units and installed Liebert CRV units between racks with integrated Liebert iCOM controls. The upgrade reduced the rack footprint (from four racks to two), saved an estimated $1,400 in immediate costs and valuable floor space, increased UPS battery runtime from 20 minutes to one hour, improved cooling efficiency by targeting heat at the rack, enhanced monitoring and control, and delivered a flexible power-and-cooling solution expected to meet Terminix’s IT needs for about five years.
