Solar Energy Delivers Mobile Connectivity to the Paraguayan Chaco

Siemi S.R.L. was commissioned to deliver, install and commission 12 mobile radio base stations across the remote Pilcomayo River Valley in the Paraguayan Chaco, a sparsely populated, semi-arid flood plain with limited utility power and frequent road closures. Because diesel generators would require constant refueling and service, Siemi (a Vertiv Diamond Service Partner) sought a renewable, low‑maintenance power solution and engaged Vertiv to evaluate and supply the necessary telecom power systems.

Vertiv designed and delivered a coordinated solar energy solution — including operational load/battery/weather simulation, site preparation and international delivery — and supplied on‑site equipment such as the Vertiv™ NetSure™ 5100 hybrid DC power system with Vertiv™ eSure™ solar converters, Vertiv™ EPC 48300/2900 outdoor cabinets with lithium‑ion batteries, Vertiv™ NetSure™ solar arrays and support structures, plus remote NetSure control access. The result: all 12 sites now run on 100% solar power, providing reliable mobile service to approximately 2,000 families across nine communities, reducing operating expenses and eliminating frequent diesel refueling and service visits.
