Qoncert, a Tampa-based IT systems integrator, needed a rapidly deployable, fully self-contained data center while relocating into a new building that was still under construction. Facing tight timelines and the requirement to avoid any IT or network performance loss, Qoncert engaged Vertiv and selected the Vertiv SmartRow infrastructure to provide a mobile, room-neutral solution with integrated power, cooling, management and fire suppression.

Vertiv delivered a SmartRow design plan in under 24 hours and fully deployed the solution in 45 days, allowing Qoncert to continue operations with minimal downtime and later relocate the modular row to a permanent site without costly room upgrades. Vertiv’s SmartRow also provided more efficient contained cooling, integrated chemical fire suppression (saving SmartRow customers an average of $25,000–$50,000 in fire-systems costs), high-availability backup for Qoncert’s cloud VoIP services, and a flexible staging environment for testing and client demonstrations.
