One of the Largest Latin America IT Service Provider Reduces Carbon Footprint with Vertiv Solutions

Largest Latin America IT Service Provider, a Chilean leader in digital transformation, built a second data center and needed high reliability, energy efficiency and rapid deployment—installing more than 150 cooling and power-backup units amid COVID-19 restrictions. Vertiv was selected as the vendor for its differentiated data center infrastructure, including free‑cooling adiabatic chillers and comprehensive cooling and UPS solutions, and had to support remote/augmented‑reality field services and multilingual coordination during the pandemic.

Vertiv deployed 100+ specialists and installed Liebert™ AFC adiabatic free‑cooling chillers, Liebert™ Trinergy™ Cube and EXL S2 UPSs with lithium‑ion batteries, Liebert™ CROSS STS and supporting cooling systems, supplemented by remote support and AR tools. Vertiv’s solution delivered measurable impact: PUE of 1.08, Tier IV certification (one of only two in Chile), estimated energy savings of 20–40% on average orders, UPS operating efficiency up to 99.5%, and long‑term service commitments with equipment life ~20 years.
