The National Bank of Abu Dhabi, a top-rated UAE bank with 100+ branches and 450+ ATMs, faced rising IT complexity as its data center footprint and annual system growth (~25%) expanded. The bank needed a unified, remote-capable management solution to simplify operations, avoid juggling multiple products, and maintain high availability. Vertiv (Avocent) was engaged to address these challenges using its Avocent management and planning tools.

Vertiv implemented Avocent DSView management software with Avocent KVMs, service processor gateways, rack PDUs and Data Center Planner to deliver centralized, out-of-band control, detailed power and thermal visibility, and planning automation. As a result, NBAD achieved 20% higher system availability, reduced power consumption while lowering data center temperatures by two degrees in extreme conditions, extended equipment lifespans, sped up strategic project responses, and avoided the cost of housing four engineers for two–three months when opening a remote data center.
