Leading Regional Transportation Network Company - Customer Case Study

Leading Regional Transportation Network Company needed a centralized, highly efficient and scalable monitoring and power-protection solution to cover rail stations, ferry terminals, car parks and bus depots across Auckland City and to withstand harsh field conditions. Vertiv delivered a portfolio-based approach using Avocent DSView 4, Avocent ACS6000 serial switches, PM3000 managed PDUs, Liebert RDU and Netsure™ DC UPS to meet those requirements.

Vertiv installed Netsure DC UPS systems feeding Avocent-managed PDUs and Liebert DC UPS units in an N+1 configuration (2 hours battery autonomy, expandable to 4 hours), and integrated Avocent DSView 4 with ACS6000 switches to maintain control even during network outages. The Vertiv solution gave the customer complete visibility and remote management of networking equipment, video surveillance and UPS systems across Auckland, improving resilience and operational control with measurable UPS autonomy and N+1 redundancy.
