Leading Nonprofit Health Organization, a large faith-based nonprofit health system with 27 hospitals and more than 25,000 employees, needed to move two outdated on-premise data centers into colocation facilities within a tight 12-month window while maintaining HIPAA compliance and supporting high-density power and cooling. The organization engaged Vertiv and selected the factory-integrated Vertiv SmartCabinet solution to minimize onsite work, protect patient data, and free up hospital space for revenue-generating uses.

Vertiv, working with partner DataSpan, delivered 155 factory-configured Vertiv SmartCabinets—integrating racks, PDUs, biometric locks/RFID and Avocent management—to enable rapid rollout and centralized remote management. The Vertiv solution cut installation labor (about eight hours saved per cabinet), reduced onsite infrastructure staff to one person per location, improved security and regulatory compliance, simplified purchasing and asset management, and allowed the colocation move to finish on time and within budget.
