Large Wireless Service Providing Company needed to rapidly upgrade in-stadium cellular capacity just weeks before Super Bowl XLVII. To meet the urgent iDAS deployment timeline, they worked with Vertiv, leveraging Vertiv™ NetSure™ DC power systems, Vertiv™ Liebert® UPS units and Vertiv™ XTE enclosures to provide reliable, compact power and enclosure infrastructure for the DAS headend and remote sites.

Vertiv deployed three NetSure™ 721 DC power systems with multiple battery strings and additional battery racks, while other installations used Vertiv XTE enclosures in parking-structure caged areas; all systems were live in time for the event. The Vertiv solution not only delivered immediate, reliable coverage but proved modular and upgradeable—supporting multiple radio upgrades since 2013—and helped enable throughput growth from under 10 Mbps then to modern DAS deployments achieving 100–1000 Mbps (and up to 1 Gbps at high-profile venues). Vertiv’s infrastructure continues to support ongoing indoor and outdoor DAS rollouts nationwide.
