Global Bank Achieves Business Continuity Goals Using Vertiv™ Powerbar Busway Solution

Global Bank, a multinational lender with roughly $1.3 trillion in assets and operations in 58 countries, needed to ensure its colocation‑hosted applications ran in a reliable, secure, and highly available environment as it accelerated cloud migration and infrastructure modernization. To meet these business‑continuity requirements, the bank and its colocation partner engaged Vertiv and selected the Vertiv™ Powerbar iMPB power distribution busway for the project.

Vertiv delivered the Powerbar iMPB to feed approximately 50 racks, providing lightweight, snap‑in tap‑off receptacles (changeable in under a minute), touch‑safe IP2X protection, and redundant A/B overhead busway runs so rPDU-level power could be scaled and maintained without downtime. The Vertiv solution improved power distribution flexibility, enhanced electrical safety, simplified installation and expansion, and delivered rack‑level redundancy and capacity right‑sized to the bank’s needs—benefits that led Global Bank to adopt Vertiv Powerbar iMPB for future colocation expansions.
