A Vertiv Case Study
eStruxture, a pan‑Canadian carrier‑ and cloud‑neutral data center provider, needed a partner to design and build its modular, high‑density MTL‑2 colocation facility with resilient electrical and mechanical infrastructure and a strong sustainability profile. To meet customers’ growing AI, cloud and edge workloads and avoid overbuilding, eStruxture engaged Vertiv and selected Vertiv solutions including Liebert EXL S1 UPS units and Liebert DSE cooling to support its phased, scalable deployment.
Vertiv deployed Liebert EXL S1 UPSs with lithium‑ion batteries, Liebert PPC and RX power distribution cabinets, Liebert DSE free‑cooling economization with iCOM controls, Vertiv VR racks and Vertiv Geist rPDUs. The Vertiv solution enabled standardized, faster deployments, free‑cooling that is 75% more efficient than DX alone, and support for 30 kW per rack (up to double typical competitor capacity). As a result, eStruxture optimized computing space to offer dedicated halls and DR options, aligned capex with revenue through phased builds, and brought the MTL‑2 facility online six months earlier than prior projects.
