LightBound, an Indiana-based ISP and one of the state’s largest privately held colocation providers, needed an intuitive, vendor-neutral, and scalable data center monitoring solution to manage over 8,000 monitored points across more than 150 devices. They selected Vertiv’s Environet infrastructure management system to meet requirements for ease of use, broad product compatibility, and remote accessibility.

Vertiv deployed Environet’s web-based dashboards, thermographic floor plans, vendor‑neutral device integration, and real-time alarm notifications (email, SMS, phone), which reduced training time, enabled faster remote response, and let LightBound visualize and proactively manage hot spots in their cooling systems. The vendor-neutral approach avoided costly equipment replacements, improved operational visibility, and delivered results strong enough that LightBound is rolling out Environet across additional facilities.
