Case Study: Clariden Bank achieves secure, centralized remote data‑centre management and faster response times with Vertiv (Avocent KVM‑over‑IP)

A Vertiv Case Study

Preview of the Clariden Bank Case Study

Clariden Bank Chooses Innovative Data Centre Management

Clariden Bank, a Credit Suisse subsidiary, needed to protect and manage electronic data across two Zürich data centres while keeping fixed staffing levels. To meet strict security and continuity requirements, Clariden deployed Vertiv’s Avocent solution — notably the DSR™2010 KVM over IP switch and DSView® server management software — to enable centralized, shielded IP-based control of servers from any administrator workplace.

Vertiv’s Avocent implementation delivered BIOS-level remote access and control for all 80 Windows and Novell servers, 24/7 encrypted access for standby staff, and remote reboot capability, which significantly reduced on-site visits and administrative overhead. In the first six months of operation the centralized control met expectations, improving reaction times and operational efficiency and paving the way for planned expansion (serial-over-IP and remote power control) with Vertiv technology.
