Amadeus, the global leader in IT for the travel industry, needed to guarantee 24/7 availability and absolute reliability for its high‑volume computer reservation systems serving airlines, hotels, car hire and more. To remotely manage thousands of distributed devices and avoid costly on‑site interventions, Amadeus turned to Vertiv’s remote management technology, deploying Avocent DSView management software together with Avocent ACS advanced console servers (ACS classic series and ACS 6000).

Vertiv’s solution provided centralized, out‑of‑band access, variable port options and optional modem backup so administrators could securely diagnose, reboot and upgrade routers, switches, servers and PDUs from a single browser interface. The deployment cut travel and response costs by enabling remote fixes 24/7, expanded from 11 to 50 console servers (600 of ~1,200 network components now connected), and supports Amadeus’s high‑availability operations—helping preserve its industry‑leading uptime and faster incident resolution.
