Zoined, founded in 2011, provides ZOINED Retail & Hospitality—an analytics-as-a-service platform for retailers such as The Body Shop and Intersport. As the company scaled, its original open-source columnar database became unsupported and could not meet performance needs; after evaluating alternatives, Zoined found Vertica delivered 2–3× better performance out of the box and met its requirements for speed, scale and advanced features.

Zoined migrated over 450 databases to Vertica in a phased rollout, enabling new customers to be onboarded within 24 hours.
