ALM Octane and Vertica team up to deliver data-driven insights into application testing effort for digital transformation project

World Wide Technology (WWT), a $10.4B technology solutions provider, undertook a large-scale reimplementation of its Oracle EBS and migration to the cloud—creating thousands of requirements and massive testing needs. While ALM Octane supported agile testing at scale, WWT struggled with slow, brittle reporting from an open-source database (growing by ~1,000 rows/day) and needed an enterprise analytics platform for real-time, scalable insights.

WWT used ALM Octane (with UFT, LoadRunner and StormRunner) plus ServiceNow integration for test management and team handoffs, and adopted Vertica for enterprise-grade analytics. The result: transparent, traceable cross-team testing, fast, granular dashboards and burn-down charts, scalable reporting and improved data-driven decision making across the project.
