Acorn Life is a 100% Irish-owned life assurance company (100+ employees, 9 offices and ~200 self‑employed sales associates) that sells protection, savings and investment products directly to the public. Facing a soft market where price alone could not differentiate the business, Acorn set a strategic goal to grow sales while cutting administrative costs and improving service levels by reducing customer wait times and escaping a paper‑based processing model.

To achieve this, Acorn selected and implemented Vertafore ImageRight content management and workflow, integrated with its in‑house S1 policy system after a proof‑of‑concept and vendor review. The rollout—delivered on time and on budget—gave managers visibility into workflows, sped new‑business processing, cut throughput times, reduced paper and lost files, yielded manpower savings in policy administration, underwriting and filing, and created a measurable culture of continuous performance improvement that has been expanded into other areas like client correspondence and HR.
