Tesco, a leading UK-based retailer, faced performance issues with its Oracle EPM Suite hosted on an end-of-life Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Gen 1 platform. They also needed to address significant technical debt, including an unsupported Windows 2008 operating system. Tesco engaged Version 1 to assess and migrate its EPM estate to a new, more suitable platform.

Version 1 migrated Tesco's entire EPM Application Suite to Microsoft Azure, which included upgrading the HFM application and all operating systems. The solution delivered a highly available and resilient Azure environment. The results were substantial performance improvements, including group consolidations running up to 300% faster and FDMEE data loads running up to 1000% faster, while also reducing CPU and memory usage by up to 50%.
