SNC-Lavalin Atkins upgrades Oracle JD Edwards to 9.2 and cuts cloud costs with Version 1

SNC-Lavalin Atkins, a global design, engineering and project management consultancy, needed to migrate its long-standing Oracle JD Edwards system from an on-premise data center to a cloud platform. The challenge was to upgrade the application and its database to a supported version while reducing infrastructure costs and operational risk. They partnered with Version 1 to achieve this.

Version 1 upgraded the client's JD Edwards application to the latest version, performed a database upgrade, and migrated the entire environment to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. This solution provided extended platform support, reduced on-premise dependency, and lowered costs as the client now only pays for what they use. The migration also significantly reduced operational risk with servers secured and maintained by Oracle. Version 1 continues to provide ongoing managed services for the application and cloud infrastructure.
