Goodbody future-proofs hybrid cloud with Version 1, boosting resilience and cutting RTO to 1 hour

Version 1 partnered with Goodbody, a global financial services firm, to address two key challenges: the impending end-of-life for critical on-premises hardware and the need to comply with upcoming EU DORA legislation. The customer's existing environment was primarily hosted in third-party datacentres, and they sought a future-proof, resilient multi-cloud strategy leveraging both AWS and Azure.

The solution delivered by Version 1 involved designing and implementing a detailed multi-cloud hybrid environment. This included building secure landing zones in both AWS and Azure, a new network design for connectivity, and a comprehensive migration plan. Version 1 executed the migration of workloads, rehosting servers and databases and replatforming services. The project successfully eliminated risks from legacy hardware, significantly reduced total cost of ownership, and provided a highly resilient and scalable platform that meets DORA requirements.
